A number of Stop PATH activists attended the Planning Commission yesterday in Frederick. Stop PATH WV has a great post on the details.
The Planning Commission was not happy that no one from Allegheny showed up to explain their power line to the Commissioners. Stop PATH reports that Commission chairman Richard Floyd closed the meeting with the following statement:
The applicant’s absence indicates their arrogance and contempt for us and the Frederick County Commission.
That sounds like the Allegheny Energy I know.
The Planning Commissioners also recommended that the Frederick County Commission file as intervenors in the MD PSC PATH case. Considering the controversy surrounding the first PATH application, I don’t think there is any danger that the County Commission will fail to participate in the PATH case.
