PATH Substation Dead in Frederick County, MD

The Frederick County, MD Board of Zoning Appeals process is over.  Last night, the Board voted 3-0 to deny a reconsideration of the Board’s earlier 2-1 vote against giving the AEP/Allegheny’s huge PATH substation a special exception to county zoning.  The power companies have already purchased the property, which remains zoned agricultural.  Oops.

AEP/Allegheny will no doubt take this to court.  Let’s hope Frederick County’s public servants continue to serve the citizens of their community.

Here is the spooky eyewitness report on StopPATH WV.
