San Diego Blackout – Power Company Propaganda Cascade Is Wrong Again

When I read about the blackout in the San Diego area that left 4 million people without power two days ago, I was planning to do a post about it.

Keryn beat me to it.  She has links to the story in the LA Times as well as excellent comments about how the electrical industry is exploiting its own mistakes to propagandize for new transmission lines.  Here is the link to Keryn’s mighty post.

  1. Right. From what we’ve learned so far it was simple human error, and not under-capacity of the transmission grid, that crashed the So. Califiornia regional grid. The solution is more local power generation- not dependency on power plants hundreds of miles away.
